Bill was born and raised in London, Ontario. He attended The University of Western Ontario where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and graduated on the Dean’s Honour List in 2003. Bill continued to pursue his legal education at Western Law where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws in 2006.
While attending law school, Bill spent a summer semester studying law abroad at the University College of London in the United Kingdom. He also served as a student volunteer at Community Legal Services, providing legal services to those in financial need.
Bill began his career at Chinneck Law Professional Corporation in the summer of 2006 as an articling student and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2007.
Bill’s corporate commercial practice involves advising individuals, small businesses and private corporations. He has significant experience with incorporations, corporate reorganizations, business succession, shareholder agreements and disputes, asset and share acquisitions/dispositions and corporate re-financing.
Bill’s real estate practice includes all stages of residential and commercial transactions from negotiating the terms of the agreement to the completion of the transaction. He regularly represents individuals and corporations in buying, selling, leasing and refinancing transactions.
Bill’s estates practice includes consulting on and drafting wills and powers of attorney along with aiding in the administration of estates from probate to final distribution and passing of accounts.
Although Bill does not view litigation as the best option in most cases, he is willing to fight for his clients when it is appropriate. He has appeared before the Small Claims Court, the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal and has achieved considerable success for his clients.
